The launch of Jaguar Land Rover’s Open Innovation Programme was announced by Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) and JLR in Tel Aviv. As part of JLR’s Reimagine strategy, the project will promote innovative, disruptive mobility technologies and develop partnerships between JLR and Israeli business organizations, start-ups, scale-ups, investors, and academic institutions.
TCS has been a partner of JLR for more than ten years and has contributed to important transformational efforts across its value chain, including sustainability and digital services. This most recent collaboration will aid in JLR’s Open Innovation program’s expansion to Israel and boost its Reimagine strategy, which aims to hasten the company’s transition to an electric-first, opulent future.
The plan will make use of TCS’ Co-Innovation Network (COIN) in Israel to find local technology solutions and scale them up to international mobility solutions and services. It will examine possibilities in electrification, connectivity, digital services, the metaverse, intelligent enterprise, production, supply chain, and sustainability.
We are happy to expand our Open Innovation initiative to Israel and take advantage of TCS’s competence in research and technological innovation, according to Igor Murakami, Director of New Services, Software, and Open Innovation at JLR. This special arrangement would hasten the co-creation of ground-breaking solutions under JLR’s Reimagine plan. TCS is a global leader in digital and business transformation. The curriculum will be crucial in helping us establish a presence in the area and opening up chances to develop with a variety of disruptive Israeli start-ups to help us create uncompromised and sustainable modern luxury.
According to Ben Gilad, Head of TCS Tata Consultancy Services COIN, “Innovation is the crucial differentiator for success as the automobile industry transitions to electrification. We are happy to be collaborating with JLR and utilising our automotive industry research and innovation capabilities, as well as those of our regional COIN ecosystem partners, to support their transformation and growth.
We look forward to working together to find breakthrough technologies that will power the future of mobility and opulent modern living. Israeli entrepreneurs and inventors are invited to participate in this effort.
