Apple inaugurated its second store today in Saket, New Delhi, after the official inauguration of its first retail location in India earlier this week in Mumbai. Tim Cook, the company’s CEO, opened Delhi’s first Apple Store at ten in the morning.
With the launch of Apple Saket, our second shop in India, Deirdre O’Brien, Apple’s senior vice president of retail, previously stated that the company was “thrilled” to provide the best of Apple to its consumers in Delhi.
The tech giant is targeting India’s enormous market with a rising middle class to fuel sales growth and perhaps make it the home base for the assembly of millions of Apple gadgets in an effort to mimic what China did to Apple’s company in the previous 15 years.
On Wednesday, Tim Cook also spoke with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Cook also met with Rajeev Chandrasekhar, the union minister of state for electronics and information technology, and they talked about ways to increase domestic production and iPhone exports.

- There will be more than 70 highly skilled retail team members working there, coming from 18 different states and speaking more than 15 different languages. They will assist the clients in making purchases in addition to teaching and guiding the customers on the products.
- Customers may make an appointment at Apple Saket’s Genius Bar to meet with an Expert for in-person technical assistance.
- With white oak tables showing the numerous goods and accessories the firm sells, Apple Saket has a distinctively curved storefront. The Saket Apple Store will use only renewable energy and is carbon neutral, much like every other Apple Store.
- Although the Saket location’s store is about half as big as Apple’s Store Mumbai location, the business will pay almost the same rent. According to sources, Apple pays Rs 40 lakh per month for its Saket shop while paying Rs 42 lakh for its Mumbai location.
- The many gates of Delhi are said to have served as inspiration for Apple’s Saket shop, which adds a fresh chapter to the city’s extensive history.
