Department of Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), to host the first of its kind week long event, to encourage the culture of startups in India.
The “Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav”, a week-long event to be organised by the Department of Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) is proposed to take place in January 2022. The theme of the event will be “Celebrating Innovation Ecosystem”. Secretary, DPIIT, Anurag Jain discussed the event in high-level meetings. This will mark the 6th anniversary of The Startup India Initiative.
The event will focus on bringing together startups, investors, entrepreneurs, policymakers, national/international stakeholders etc. by the means of their platform. The event will have discussions about entrepreneurship and best practices about the startup ecosystem. This aspires to encourage and inspire the youth of our country for innovation and entrepreneurship.
This event will also showcase high technology startups and highly appreciated startups from India. Apart from this, the event will also focus on showcasing the depth and wideness of the startup ecosystem in this country. The week-long event will be packed with activities of different kinds like international engagement, market access, incubation support, funding support and many more.
The event will have a dedicated exhibition area for selected startups. Mentoring and incubation support to different startups will also be provided by other agencies like, AIM NITI Aayog, DST, DBT, MeitY, DPIIT, Invest India etc. Sessions will be organised for the startups to showcase themselves and catch the eyes of investors and corporates.
