Focus on Youth Entrepreneurship and Innovation

Leading skill-tech platform Trusity has marked a significant milestone in becoming a ‘Certified Incubator’ under the Mohammed Bin Rashid Establishment for Small and Medium Enterprises Development, widely known as Dubai SME. It is one of the constituent entities of the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism, focusing on fostering and promoting startups across the region. According to a recent media release, this accreditation underlines Trusity’s role in helping create entrepreneurial talent and offering critical training to the next innovators.

At the heart of its work with young people, the flagship program from Trusity is aimed at turning innovative ideas into viable business ventures. The program is designed and developed by a team of successful entrepreneurs, aimed at equipping the learners with necessary skills to develop business ideas, cultivate an entrepreneurial mindset, and enhance communication abilities. TruPreneurs function in a structured approach that focuses on the three phases in sequence: innovation, entrepreneurship, and communication. Upon completion of the program, the alumni are expected to launch their business ideas before a dignified panel of judges and investors with a chance to obtain seed money to start product development.

After the shortlisting of these startups, Trusity offers incubation services, training, and support for the proper development and launch of the developed solutions.

Dubai SME’s Certified Incubators Program

Dubai SME, an initiative of Dubai SME, concerned with ensuring the growth and sustainability of the SMEs in the emirate has several initiatives. Among them is the Certified Incubators program, which qualifies business incubators to operate at such high standards and quality that meets the new emerging ventures. Such certification is provided based on the incubator’s ability to facilitate the growth, innovation, and sustainability of an entrepreneur.

The Certified Incubators initiative is in line with the Dubai Economic Agenda D33 that seeks to double the size of Dubai’s economy by 2033. That gigantic plan chimes into further consolidating Dubai’s status in being a preferred global business, investment, and tourist destination.

“Trusity’s accreditation as a certified incubator marks a significant milestone in our mission to nurture a vibrant startup ecosystem in Dubai as envisioned by our visionary leadership,” said Abdul Baset Al Janahi, chief executive officer of Dubai SME. He added that supporting entrepreneurial innovation and mentorship remains an essential way of building a resilient and diversified economy. Doing this will not only be aligned with the D33 Agenda for the emirate but also ensure that there is sustainable growth into the future.

Future for Youth Entrepreneurs

These young entrepreneurs have already started making headway in different segments, as they were successful in completing the truPreneurs program offered by Trusity. Some of the innovative solutions that the graduates are working on are driving sustainability like Eco-select, a mental health initiative by the name MentaCare, supporting pet care through ResPAWnsibilities, improving healthcare through HealthSync, and supporting teenagers in high school through TeenEdge. Other projects include SownKnow.ai, providing quality education.

Founder and CEO of Trusity, Rajani Nalla, identified the vision of the company towards young entrepreneurs. “Trusity stands as a Certified Incubator with an intention to frame a wholesome ecosystem that incubates and assists new entrepreneurs. Focusing on the next generation, it gives advisory support in terms of feasibility for the business model, legal, financial, and technical planning”.

Collaborations with major organisations Trusity has partnered with institutions, such as Delta Skills Academy, GEMS Education, Zurich Middle East, and many other top schools across the emirates. The Abdullah Al Ghurair Foundation’s Takween program has also allowed Trusity to mentor and facilitate Emirati students to develop original concepts for their startups and pitch decks.

Boost Innovation and Economic Growth in Dubai

In fact, what underlines Trusity’s accreditation is its commitment towards boosting innovations and entrepreneurship within the UAE along with UAE’s Fifty Economic Plan so as to create a culture of innovation among the youths and promote entrepreneurship generally.

With continued support from Dubai SME, Trusity will now be playing a critical role in moulding the face of Dubai’s entrepreneurial section for growth and their city’s long-term vision on sustainability and innovation.
