Today, February 21, the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will close the application process for the Civil Services Preliminary Examination, or CSE Prelims 2023. Candidates who have not yet submitted their forms should do so at upsc.gov.in or upsconline.nic.in.
This time, the UPSC CSE is being held for approximately 1,105 positions.

How to Apply for the UPSC Civil Services Exam 2023
- Visit the UPSC website at upsc.gov.in or upsconline.nic.in.
- Finish the one-time registration process.
- Now, log in and choose exam.
- Fill out the application form, upload your documents, and pay the exam fee.
- Submit the form and print a copy of the confirmation page.
Recently, the Supreme Court of India dismissed a petition filed by Civil Services Aspirants who had reached the age limit for taking the exam and requested an extra attempt citing COVID-19.
Separately, the Ministry of Railways announced that the proposed Indian Railway Management Service Examination (IRMSE) will not be held this year, and that the UPSC CSE 2023 will be used to shortlist candidates instead.
The Civil Services examination is held annually in three stages to select personnel for the Indian Administrative Service, Indian Foreign Service, and Indian Police Service, among others.
