Aspirants for government jobs won’t need to enter their basic information each time they submit an application for a separate recruitment examination starting with the UPSC exam in 2022.
For those looking for government employment, the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has introduced the one-time registration (OTR) option. With the new service, candidates will only need to register on the portal once to take any UPSC-related exams.
Aspirants for government jobs won’t need to fill out their basic information anymore when they apply for various recruitment exams.
Candidates must register on the OTR platform by entering their basic personal information requested there in order to be considered for any future UPSC examinations.
“Many candidates submit applications for the numerous exams that the UPSC holds throughout the year to choose officers for various central government ministries and organizations. They will benefit from time savings and an easier application process thanks to the OTR platform “said a UPSC official.
After the aspirant’s registration is complete, the information will be kept safely on the server of the commission.
The details of a candidate are automatically filled in on the online application form for the exam they are applying for.
The One Time Registration platform, according to the UPSC, will be very helpful for the candidates as it will not only spare them from having to fill out their basic personal information again for any subsequent examinations being conducted by the UPSC, but it will also completely eliminate any chance of them submitting inaccurate information as their basic personal information will be verified by the candidates themselves.
According to the UPSC, filling up or submitting an online application form will take much less time because approximately 70% of an applicant’s information from the OTR will immediately be pre-populated in the form.
