The Indian pharmaceutical Firm Granules built a packaging facility in Virginia, the US, to boost the biopharma supply chain and expand the state’s capacity to package critical pharmaceuticals.

The facility was formally launched by Taranjit Singh Sandhu, the Indian ambassador to the United States.

India has the most plants outside of the US with FDA approval, according to Sandhu.
