Global Investment Giant Bets Big on India’s Booming Airport Sector

GMR Airports Infrastructure saw its share price surge by nearly 7% on Monday after a global investment firm picked up a significant stake in the company.

This amounts to a combined investment of Rs. 1,671 crore by these investors at an average price of Rs. 58-59 per share.

This optimistic market sentiment was reflected in GMR Airports’ stock price jumping nearly 7% intraday to touch Rs. 73.15 per share on the NSE.

GMR Airports Infrastructure is one of the largest private airport operators in India and globally with interests in Delhi, Hyderabad and Cebu airports.
