WhatsApp, a popular messaging app, has announced that it will discontinue support for iOS10, iOS11, as well as the iPhone 5 and iPhone 5C, on October 24, this year. To fully enjoy WhatsApp’s features, you’ll need to have iOS 12 or higher.
This is done by the messaging platform in order to upgrade, implement new changes, and improve platform security. WhatsApp, which is owned by Meta, has announced that it will no longer support older versions of iOS.
Many WhatsApp features will no longer be available to iPhone users worldwide as a result of this update, and will only be available to those who are still using outdated iOS versions. Devices running iOS 10 and iOS 11 will not be able to use all of the features after that. As a result of the update, iOS 10 and iOS 11 users will no longer be able to install WhatsApp from the App Store.
Apple iPhone 5 and iPhone 5C are not compatible with iOS 12, so these users will be unable to use WhatsApp once the new changes are implemented. WhatsApp simply means improving the security of the chat and other in-app features.
