Wipro and fintech company Finastra have agreed to a multi-year agreement for the purpose of transforming corporate banking in the Middle East.
Multi-year cooperation between Wipro and the fintech company Finastra has been inked in the Middle East for the digital transformation of corporate banks. The deal will designate Wipro as the sole go-to-market and implementation partner for Finastra’s trade finance solutions in the area.
According to a corporate statement, Wipro will assist banks in transforming and digitizing the complete financial process in addition to Finstra’s product line.
“Corporate banks are essential participants in the sector and are considering changing the way they operate to comply with the ever-evolving business,” Mohamad Hamza, regional head of banking, financial services, and insurance (BFSI) for Wipro in the Middle East, said in a statement. The sector’s top priorities include reimagining digital services to enhance customer experiences and streamlining platforms and operations centers to increase efficiency.
“Thanks to our special alliance with Finastra, we will be able to assist clients in becoming true digital platform participants,”
The Middle East is one of Wipro’s six core regions, and the company has been operating there for decades. The Asia Pacific, India, and Africa (APMEA) Strategic Market Unit of Wipro is one of the other priority regions.
In addition, Mazda Motor Logistics Europe awarded Wipro a five-year, multi-million dollar contract. For its whole application landscape, Wipro has been hired to provide next-generation managed services.
Alex Janssens, vice president of IT and supply logistics at Mazda Motor Logistics Europe, said “Mazda was searching for a partner who understood the complexity of our application environment, operational intricacies, and business imperatives and was culturally compatible with us. Due to its best-in-class talents and credentials in the automotive sector, along with a high-performance Agile, DevOps operating model and a reliable automation platform to enhance efficiency in Mazda’s IT operations, Wipro stood out during the selection process.”
