By the next year, the Uttar Pradesh government intends to open five new airports at each of the following locations: Azamgarh, Aligarh, Moradabad, Shravasti, and Chitrakoot. By the end of this year, Jewar will also have an international airport operational.
Yogi Adityanath, the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, announced that 100 chartered planes are scheduled to land at the recently opened Ayodhya airport on January 22 as Pran Partishtha Day approaches.
According to Mint,”On January 22, about 100 chartered aircraft will touch down at the Ayodhya airport in order to attend the Ram Temple’s ‘pran pratishtha’ event. This will also demonstrate to us how to assess the Ayodhya airport’s potential,” the CM added.
He went on, “I am appreciative of PM Narendra Modi for awarding Uttar Pradesh the fourth international airport. The Uttar Pradesh chief minister said, “On December 30, the Ayodhya airport was launched.
PM Modi had opened the recently constructed Ayodhya Airport earlier on December 30. Later, at a speech in front of the audience, he declared that the Ramayana by Maharishi Valmiki is the intellectual route that unites us with Shri Ram. After the second phase, Maharishi Valmiki International Airport would be able to accommodate 60 lakh commuters yearly, up from the initial capacity of 10 lakh people. The modern airport’s first phase was built at a cost of more than ₹1,450 crore.
Together with Union Minister VK Singh and other top officials, Union Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia virtually launched the first tri-weekly flights between Ahmedabad and Ayodhya today.
The boarding card for the first tri-weekly flights between Ahmedabad and Ayodhya was given to Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
“PM Modi and UP CM Yogi Adityanath inaugurated the Ayodhya Airport and Railway Station on December 30.” Jyotiraditya Scindia, Minister of Union Civil Aviation, stated. “On December 30, we launched the inaugural flight, operated by IndiGo and Air India Express, between Ayodhya and Delhi. We’re going to link Ahmedabad and Ayodhya today.” The Minister of Union Civil Aviation continued.
He further stated that Azamgarh, Aligarh, Moradabad, Shravasti, and Chitrakoot will each get five additional airports in Uttar Pradesh by the following year. “In 2014, Uttar Pradesh had just six airports; today, the state is home to ten, including Ayodhya airport. The UP will have five more airports by the following year. Inaugurating in the upcoming month will be one airport each in Azamgarh, Aligarh, Moradabad, Shravasti, and Chitrakoot. By the end of this year, Jewar will also have an international airport operational,” he stated.
Traffic control and security measures
The administration of Uttar Pradesh has put in place a thorough plan that includes sophisticated traffic control and security measures. Vigilant surveillance is ensured via the integration of 1500 public CCTV cameras across the city with the Integrated Traffic Management System (ITMS).
Interestingly, 10,715 AI-based cameras with face recognition will be installed in Ayodhya’s yellow zone. These cameras will be easily connected with ITMS and overseen by a central control center. This calculated action intends to improve general security and surveillance in strategic regions. Teams from the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) and the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) have been sent in to support emergency response capabilities.
Regular boat patrols by SDRF teams will highlight safety precautions including life jackets and navigators’ required ID cards, while sternly forbidding intoxication of any kind.
The setup of four cruise boats before January 20 to improve maritime monitoring throughout the festivities is reportedly a noteworthy highlight. The Railway Protection Force will increase security at Ayodhya Railway Station from January 27 to February 15.
In addition, all tent cities have fire brigade measures in place to guarantee prompt reactions to any unforeseen incidents. The entire city will be patrolled by police, and anyone from outside will need to go through rigorous verification processes.
An additional line of defense against potential airborne threats has been added with the installation of an Anti-Drone System, which is being supervised by the Special Security Force (SSF).
The public is informed that, from January 20 to 22, only individuals invited by the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust would be permitted admission, provided that the necessary transportation arrangements—including buses and trains—are made.
In addition, a ten-bed primary hospital has been established in the tent city, along with stringent hygiene regulations.
