What is the initiative of Hyperpure?

According to recent reports, Zomato is expanding its Hyperpure business model in particular vicinity which has the potential to grow its business in the next ten years. 

Kaushik Dutta, chairman of the company’s board of directors addressed that “Online food delivery firm Zomato has decided to narrow its focus on three key areas of food ordering and delivery; supplies to restaurants through ‘Hyperpure’ and quick commerce”. She also added after the first AGM (Annual General Meeting), “The move was part of a strategy to focus only on areas that have the potential to become meaningfully large businesses ten years from now”.

For the whole of FY22, adjusted revenues of Hyperpure came at ₹540 crores, while that of Zomato’s food delivery business stood at ₹4,760 crores.

For the first quarter of FY23, revenue from operations for Hyperpure surged 40% to ₹272.7 crores from ₹194.2 crores in the previous quarter.

The company’s chairman also stated that the adoption of Hyperpure supply services for restaurants has increased over the years. Dutta said that Zomato’s acquisition of Blinkit was completed in August and the company was working on integrating personnel, as per the report.
