Zoom disclosed a brand new logo as well as some product updates.
If you poorly believe that Zoom is just a video meeting app, the company created an expanded version of its new logo where each “o” represents a different product: Team Chat, Meetings, Rooms, etc.
The main change in Zoom’s development lineup is that Zoom Chat is being rebranded to Zoom Team Chat. This product never certainly enjoyed the same level of awareness as Zoom’s video meeting capabilities so far, but the company wants that to change.
Zoom Team Chat is part of Zoom One, the company’s all-in-one communication contribution that also includes Zoom Meetings with up to 300 attendees, Zoom Whiteboard, and 5GB of cloud storage. The company already plans to declare more enhancements to Zoom Team Chat during a webinar delayed this month.
Zoom’s popularity blew up during the pandemic, but the company is now really serious about evolving an all-in-one productivity solution. Zoom appreciates great brand awareness today, but it certainly won’t be easy to persuade companies to move away from the capacity of capabilities provided by Microsoft 365, or Google Workspace.
“What we’re striving for is becoming the operating system for your workday,” says Zoom CFO Kelly Steckelberg in an interview with Fast Company.
